Oh honey, I'm toast.

Finally met Junhui for lunch yesterday!! So happy to see her that we just gave each other a hug outside westgate HAHAHA. The last time we actually met was during her dance performance in April if I'm not wrong, and we didn't really get to talk that time.

We had brunch at Nunsaram at Westgate, which is some Korean cafe(??). Ordered their Honey bread which I really really love and their mango bingsu which was good too!!

WAH this picture got hipster feels not LOL kidding. HTC front camera really not bad sia. But it's a totally different case when it comes to its main camera *moonface*. "Oh honey, you got me all toasted." (ok nonsensical pun here. gotta stop trying so hard ok.)

Wahhh sideview omg check out the pile of whipped cream HAHAHA. Totally didn't feel very sinful eating this because the whipped cream was so good!! It didn't make me feel sinful somehow, unlike certain whipped cream HAHA. SO GOOD OMG. Some people might find it repulsive though because of the fats I guess?? But seriously, this is too good to miss. And wow I love the bread. It's super crunchy, and soft inside. But Junhui and I both agreed that we could do with more honey and syrup to make it less dry. WAH DROOLING AT THIS PIC. Quite affordable too!!

Happy girls with our delicious food :')

MANGO BINGSU NEXT!! They're super generous with their mangoes omg I'm impressed. And the mangoes are sweet too!! FABULOUS. The ice-shavings were good too, unlike some other bingsu places which are just like ice-kachang pffft. The ice-shavings here just melt in your mouth wow I like. And yeah haha I agree with Jack that it's so much better with the condensed milk *___* The ice-cream tasted a bit artificial though, but I guess it's normal for mango ice-cream. Haven't really found any mango ice-cream that is really good, unless they're gelato or sorbet. (the one at my old workplace stick house is quite nice hahaha).

HAHAH Junhui likes to take pictures with our food.

It's so comfortable meeting her to catch-up, without a sense of awkwardness despite not meeting in ages. The last time we actually met up to talk was in January!! It's always fun because she's forever introducing me to nice places, like cedele, some super good ramen at holland v and gastronomy (thanks to junhui, I found my favourite dessert - the white chocolate yoghurt thingy from gastro and not disappointed at all despite visiting there for 3 times already). I like to listen to her stories because they're super entertaining!! Plus junhui is super animated when she talks HAHA. Love the part about the nabei and CB part haha freak laughed so much and super loudly. So happy because J SQUARE FC is still going strong (hehe only JH and LH will understand).

Oh girl you made me blush HAHAH i KID. No idea why the face so red here too.

We talked about how uni has made us drift from some people, but how it also brings us closer to others too. It's kind of sad how people are slowly fading away from our lives, and no matter how much effort you try to put in to try to maintain the relationship, things still won't be the same anymore. Perhaps it's just a side of them we never knew, but it's really tiring to try to sustain the relationship when they don't bother. But it also got me wondering, if I had neglected any people in my life. Self-reflection at its highest tonight.

Can't wait for our next meeting!! And all the best for your upcoming performance(s) :) So proud of you!!

Some months ago I read this book somewhere (can't remember the title), and it had this phrase "We are a flame best left extinguished". And I've no idea why this phrase is imprinted in my mind even until today, and really tugged at my heartstrings. I love this phrase, and I've no idea why too.

Perhaps we are a flame best left extinguished.
