Had a chill day in school today, initially, till something happened in the afternoon.
Saw some pretty flowers blooming along the walkway.
And some interesting structures by the design students I think. Anyway, managed to reach Mac's around 10 mins before the breakfast ended WOW LUCKY.
Can I just say that the staff at McDonald's in our school are super nice?? There's this uncle who served, called Henry (HAHA SAME AS MY DAD). Side-track: I'm always very amused whenever someone has the same name as my dad. No idea why. Ok back to topic: he's so friendly, smiley and patient and still working even though he's so old!! I really have a soft spot for old people haha. Oh and the Malay auntie was super cute too, attempting to say some Chinese words to me haha. Nice and friendly people in the service industry are really hard to find these days. It's cool how these people can make one's day with their good attitude, whilst some people whose attitude sucks like shit can make someone's day HORRIBLE while serving others, as if we owe them a living.
Made it back to Arts in 17 mins with my breakfast!! WOOHOO.
This photo was taken yesterday at the deck after our lecture. Realised the floor was filled with orange-red leaves/petals, so looked up and saw this!! This was the only tree in the entire area with red and orange leaves. SO GORGEOUS!!
Ok I've no idea why I'm showing these random pictures of scenery in school haha. Just want to show the beauty in school I guess, and that there is actually beauty all around us if we can just stop and take a break from our constant rushing in lives to find beauty in everything. Wow much cliche.
Ok anyway, here's the start of drama:
The girl sitting beside me when I was doing my homework left her phone to charge at the power point beside me, but she forgot to take her phone when she went to lesson!! So I had two options: either ignore it and leave it there and wait for someone else to find it, or take her phone and hope that she'll call back so I can return her phone to her. I don't know if I'm stupid or what, but I chose the second option, because I was afraid that someone else would steal her phone.
Her phone was locked, but fortunately, I could reply whenever someone whatsapped her because she activated the pop-up function thing. So I whatsapped her family and told her I had her phone, and her family was nice enough to thank me and asked me to drop it off at the student centre at YIH. I kept waiting for someone to call the phone though because I thought it would be easier if the girl realised her phone was missing so that I could just return her phone immediately. Every moment of keeping her phone with me was a BURDEN I SWEAR. I FELT SO UNEASY. Maybe I should have just left her phone there, but I really didn't feel safe leaving her phone to continue charging at the power point. Which is why I don't understand how can people who steal someone else's phones feel so not guilty for stealing. How can they not feel the burden of committing a crime?? I wasn't even committing a crime. In fact, I was doing a good deed, but I could feel the burden, because every second I'm fretting if the girl would call her phone, and that I might not realise that she called and missed the opportunity to return the phone to her. I never want to feel such a burden anymore my goodness.
The girl used her friend's phone to call. FINALLY!! After 2 hours LOL. But I couldn't pick up since I was in tutorial. Plus, I wouldn't be able to call back the person afterwards since her phone was locked. However, genius me quickly copied down the number of the dialler, and used my phone to message the user. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT HER FRIEND IS MY HIP-HOP SENIOR HAHAHA. Small world. Really felt so so so so so relieved after managing to get in touch with the owner. The girl didn't thank me though, since I passed the phone to her friend, who then passed to her, but I still felt good. I felt like I've done something amazing. HUMBLE BRAG HERE HAHA. (ooh what an oxymoron this phrase is.)
Haiz drama seems to follow me wherever I go - like the incident of the girl fainting on bus and Joey, 2 other guys and me had to tend to her (which allowed us to make friends with one another HAHA), the incident of a couple quarrelling in lecture that day (so drama until the girl screamed F word in lecture, followed by emptying of the guy's bag and his pencil case, and then dumping his bag onto the floor. Don't understand her rationale for emptying his stuff though??), and now this incident.
School life is always full of dramas.
Had a 2 hour long break from 10-12pm, so I went to my not-so-windy-anymore corner to get some work done. Was debating internally whether or not to go and grab my macbreakfast, because I was really lazy since it was so far away, plus I wanted to save money, and fast-food is fatty too. But they always say, eat like a king for breakfast, so in the end, I decided to head over to engine to get my sausage mcmuffin HAHA. EXCUSES HAHA. I eat like a freaking king for every single meal. Even the heat waves couldn't deter me from walking all the way from arts to engine #glutton.
