Part II.
Our second stop - Gardens By The Bay.
We walked from MBS to GBTB and it was quite a relaxing moment since the view was so good. We even saw a woman sunbathing at a bench LOL it was damn hot and sunny, but she just laid on the bench. No shits given.
gorgeous view *___*
While walking there, there was this lion statues thingy (or is it some other animal but I can't remember what animal) at some entrance. We saw these two kids trying to climb up the statue, then the boy had difficulty trying to climb up that thing, then his older brother was at his back, and like shoving his ass up the statue but the boy was like stuck in midair and the whole situation was so hilarious HAHAHA.
We wanted to buy tickets for the flower dome and cloud forest. But the ticketing queue was super long!! So we entered the information counter room and asked if we could purchase tickets online. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO DO SO. All you have to do is go online and buy your tickets, then they'll send this email to you, with barcodes for each person. Then you can skip the queuing and just proceed straight to the place of interest!! The people stationed outside will then just scan the barcode from your phone and you can enter!! SO EASY AND FUSS-FREE. Oh and actually tickets for the cloud forest and flower dome cost $12 each, but if you buy both, it's $20 in total. And you get a xmas snow globe when you purchase a pair of tickets!!
1. Flower Dome.
Entered it and the first thing that caught my eye was the super adorable teddy bears for the christmas themed decorations!!
O M G LOOK AT THIS ADORABLE CUTIEPIE OMG HEART MELTS. *___* All I want to do is give those adorable bears a tight hug, and maybe bring them out of the flower dome and back to my home!!
I WAS SO EXCITED AND DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO START LOOKING. So we went to the right side and it was just cactuses. (p.s. is it cacti or cactuses?? I googled and they said cacti is latin plural form, while cactuses is english plural form.) It was fascinating for the first few minutes, but the cactuses eventually got boring after a while oops.
We continued walking and damn I suddenly can't remember what other interesting trees/plants/flowers we saw. (Plus I was EXTREMELY distracted by the cutie bears all around!!) All I remember was us laughing at zx and his LILY HAHAHA. We were joking about a certain science teacher back in RV (note: add a mui to the lily and you'll get her name). Was telling the story of how lanruo said her friend's mother called the general office to find a "Mrs Mui", but the office people kept telling her that there was no "Mrs Mui" in school. And the mother was like, "Mrs Mui!! Mrs Lily Mui!!" HAHAH FREAK. Said teacher's surname is actually Lee, hence should be Mrs Lee, but got misinterpreted as Lily Mui.
Got to include the daisies!! TUMBLR. #basicbitch.
P.S. FREAKING CUTE BEAR SPAM AHEAD:
Totally wishing that I could climb over the flowers and hold the bear's hands like the nutcracker too. OOPS totally sounding like a bear-o-phile now.
:)
Waves hands back too :')
Bears peeking at the flowers too.
Like those Russian Matryoshka dolls.
We then decided to leave because we had to rush to the cloud forrest, and come back to the dome later at night when it was dark outside, coz we thought that the dome would look gorgeous with those decorative lights on.
Oh yeah, the tickets are for a day, so we could leave and re-enter. BUT, we have to get a re-entry stamp from the staff at the gates as we leave the dome. But the person didn't give us any re-entry stamp. But apparently, you can just show them a picture you took inside the dome (with your face in the pic of course) and you can enter again LOL. Quite inefficient I think. I think they'll only give you the re-entry stamp if you ASK for it, but since we didn't know there was such a thing, we didn't ask for the stamp. They should just give everyone a stamp, regardless if you asked or not. FEEDBACK.
2. Cloud Forest.
The first feeling that we got when we entered was: DAMN COLD. But the cool air was super shiok. The waterfall was gorgeous, but it kept splattering water out. I think we even saw people wearing poncho near the waterfall HAHAHA what one earth.
NICEEEE.
We took lift to level 6 to walk down the cloud forest. The bridge was quite interesting but made me feel insecure at times coz we could look down it. Haha helped Doreen take a photo with the grid of the forest as the background because she liked those grids!! Looks good.
Look!! The bridge seems to form a heart shape. Is it intentional??
We also caught a short film talking about the consequences of global warming and what would happen if the temperature increases by 5 degrees celsius and impact on the world by year 2100. It was quite interesting, but the appearance of the ugly hideous disgusting slimy freaking frog was a huge turn off.
Ok just scrolled back up the picture above and just realised that there were two statues like embedded amongst those leaves??!! Omg totally didn't notice it before.
Went for dinner at texas chicken!! Ate 3 pieces of chicken and was so damn full. Was so tired after walking the whole day and just felt dead during dinner.
3. Supertree grove.
We missed the fake snow sessions at 7pm and 8pm, so we waited till 9pm for the fake snow!! While waiting, we entered the ice skating rink. The ice skating rink was quite small and cramped, but looked quite fun. People skating there were mainly kids, and I think it would be quite embarrassing for adults who can't skate to enter, because there are just so many people staring.
We went back to wait for the snow and saw these two indian guys filming for their tv show. It was quite hilarious seeing them act!! They were so animated, and I think they did it in one take, or maybe two takes. Pro.
The place where people were carolling at.
At 8 plus, they switched off the lights suddenly, because there was going to be some lights display thingy. Like the super tree would light up and there would be LOUD christmas songs playing away. It was quite interesting initially, but it got boring because the duration was so long!! And there was not much things happening except the flickering of lights.
We were wondering how on earth the fake snow would fall. At 9pm, we knew the answer LOL. There were like spray machines situated at the sides, then they would start spraying the snow everywhere!! foam actually. But it was fun!! I kind of wanted a lot of foam to fall on me, then I decided it wasn't such a good idea eventually because it could get messy and dirty. But it was so fascinating!! Even saw some people wearing poncho HAHAHA FREAK. What's with people and their ponchos seriously.
Ahhhh looking so magical with the fake snow and all.
Dorah hehehe. Gardens by the Bay with the bae HAHAHA.
two girls + slut. HAHAHA he kept saying slut slut slut.
HAHA LOL AT ZX'S FACE. He looking stunned. Always say people stunned like vegetable. Now he's the one who stunned like vegetable.
We left after the snow display. SO SHAGGED. But it was a fun day!! I think I had the most fun among all of us though HAHA.
Took a train to find my mum after that. On the train, Doreen and I were so tired, and we were talking but we couldn't remember what we were saying, but we were still having a conversation somehow. It was a deja vu moment of us back in Malaysia when we were so tired after not sleeping for more than 24 hours HAHA damn funny.
Shall explore Singapore another day!! :')
